Action thriller “Bear Country,” directed by Derrick Borte and filming in Queensland, adds Nina Dobrev (“The Bricklayer”) to its cast, alongside Russell Crowe and Kartiah Vergara.
Adapted from Thomas Perry’s novel “Strip”, “Bear Country” stars Russell Crowe as Manco Kapak, an aging club owner whose plans to retire are derailed when he is robbed by a masked gunman. Now, with cartel bosses pressuring him, and a young upstart pretending to be a buyer, his dreams of riding off into the sunset are threatened.

Nina Dobrev’s recent work includes the action thriller “The Bricklayer,” the Netflix hits “The Out-Laws” and “Love Hard” (which reached #1 globally), and the indie films “Sick Girl” and “Run This Town.” She has also appeared in “Flatliners” and “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.”
